"Burnley secured the final top spot in the table early after beating Blackburn 1-0 in a rescheduled match in the 38th round of the English Championship (the second highest division in the league) yesterday.
Burnley are now solely in the lead with two games to play in the tournament, with runners-up Sheffield United trailing by 13 points with four games left on the schedule. Thus, Vincent Kompany's side have become unreachable.
Burnley will return to the AFL one year after being relegated to the Championship.
