As previously reported, Girona sensationally defeated Real Madrid 4-2 in yesterday's 31st round match of the Spanish championship. Forward Valentin Castellanos netted the winner in the game.

Castellanos became the sixth player to score four goals for Real Madrid in a single match in the history of La Liga. The Argentine forward is also the first to do so since 21 December 1947.
