"Sheffield United have secured an early promotion to the top division of the English Championship - the AFL.
"Sheffield United beat West Bromwich 2-0 in the 44th round of the Championship. This success gave the team an early second place in the league, which gives them the right to enter the AFL next season.
Previously, Burnley (95 points) had secured promotion to the AFL, leading the league. Luton finished third, with 78 points.
Sheffield United were recently in the AFL but relegated from the Premier League in the 2020/2021 season.
