"The victory over Arsenal came after the defeat of Liverpool and Bayern Munich. In each of these cases, City exploited the opponent's weaknesses. Should we criticise Arsenal, given how few other teams are able to match City's standards this season?

I can't think of a match of this magnitude at the climax of the season that was so one-sided. Despite all this, I cannot hide my sympathy for Michel Arteta and his players. Before the Guardiola era, Arsenal would still be a title contender. Just like Klopp's Liverpool, who finished second in his time. "Arsenal were a good team, but at the wrong time," The Telegraph quoted Carragher as saying.
