Valladolid, on the other hand, seemed content to sit back and defend their advantage. The break seemed to give Valencia the momentum they needed as they came out stronger in the second half.
Indeed, just 10 minutes after the start of the half, M. Diakhaby scored a goal to level the score at 1-1. From then on, Valencia seemed to take the initiative and tried to create more chances. As the match progressed, Valladolid began to lose their composure and received several yellow cards. They also made several substitutions, hoping to turn the tide in their favour. However, despite their efforts, Valencia managed to score another goal in the final minutes of the match. J. Guerra Moreno, who had just come on as a substitute, scored the winning goal in the 90th minute to bring his team a much-needed victory. All in all, it was an exciting match and a great example of the high level football for which La Liga is renowned. Both Valencia and Valladolid should be proud of their efforts, but in the end it was Valencia who came out on top.
