McNeil in the 80th minute, but two more goals from Newcastle players J. Murphy and S. Longstaff (scored in the 81st and 87th minutes respectively) sealed the victory over their opponents. Despite several substitutions by both teams, including Simms and Gueye entering the game for Everton in the 83rd minute, Newcastle were still too strong for their opponents. The match ended with a yellow card to N. Mopay by Everton in the penalty time. All in all, it was a match that showed the strengths and weaknesses of both teams. Everton will have to rethink their strategy and improve some aspects if they want to win the next match.
