Borussia Dortmund also made two substitutions, replacing D. Malen with M. Wolff and J. Ryerson with A. Modeste in the 88th minute. Despite both teams giving it their all, the match ended in a 1-1 draw, a result that was perhaps unsatisfactory for both teams, but reflective of a tense game. All in all, it was a thrilling match between two Bundesliga contenders who showed their talent and skill on the pitch of the Wońowia Ruhrstadion.
