On a day when the sun was shining brightly at the Vitality Stadium, two Premier League heavyweights clashed in a tense match that was sure to make football fans tense. It was clear from the start that both Bournemouth and Leeds were in fighting mood: the energy and passion of both teams set the tone for a tense and exciting match. It didn't take long for Bournemouth to contribute to the game, with J. Lerma scoring two consecutive goals in the 20th and 24th minutes. However, Leeds showed that they should not be underestimated as on 32 minutes P. Bamford cleverly scored to put Leeds back in the game. Closer to halftime, the score was 2-1 with Bournemouth trailing Leeds by a narrow margin. However, it did not leave Leeds indifferent: on 34 minutes, L. Cooper was substituted for M. Wobber to try and turn the game in their favour. The second half began with a flurry of activity when Bournemouth's A. Smith received a yellow card in the 55th minute for a clumsy challenge.
Bournemouth soon made two substitutions: M. Vina and P. Billing came on in the 62nd minute in place of J. Anthony and K. Moore respectively. Then, in the 63rd minute, D. Solanke scored another goal against Bournemouth, further consolidating their advantage in the game. Leeds tried to stop the flow of the game with two substitutions: P. Bamford and W. McKenney were replaced by Rodrigo and A. Forshaw on 70 and 71 minutes respectively. With time running out, Bournemouth made one final push to consolidate their lead: J. Rothwell and K. Moore were replaced by L. Cook and A. Semeno on 73rd and 83rd minutes. The last substitution for Bournemouth was D. Solanke who was replaced by J. Stacey in the 89th minute. The match ended with A. Semenyo scoring Bournemouth's final goal in the 90th minute, further increasing their lead and securing victory over Leeds. All in all, it was an exciting match, full of action and excitement, which will surely be long remembered by both Bournemouth and Leeds fans.
