In the much-anticipated Serie A match between Inter and Lazio, the teams met at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Inter replaced D'Ambrosio with Dumfries and Lazio replaced Cataldi with Vecino. Martinez and Mkhitaryan were also substituted, while Correa and Calhanoglu came on as replacements. However, Lazio's Immobile was replaced by Pedro.
Conflicts erupted as the game went on, with Bastoni receiving a yellow card for Inter and Marusic and Luis Alberto getting yellow cards for Lazio. As time went on, Inter rose to the occasion with Gosens replacing Bastoni and scoring in the 78th minute. Momentum changed even more when Gosens scored again five minutes later, making the score 2-1 in Inter's favour. In the final minutes of the game, Lazio tried to get back into the game but their efforts were in vain. Inter's De Vrij came on after Gosens had been substituted, and Martinez's final goal ensured a final 3-1 victory for the hosts. Despite moments of strong play on both sides, Inter certainly outclassed their opponents through their determination and relentless attacking play. The match proved to be a thrilling encounter in which Inter held their own and emerged victorious, to the delight of their fans.
