In the Serie A match played at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, Fiorentina secured a confident 5-0 victory over Sampdoria. The game started with Sampdoria dominating for most of the first half hour. Those substitutions were too late, however, as Kouame added another goal to his name and Fiorentina's fifth goal just ten minutes into the match. The hosts made a couple of substitutions as Giovanni Castrovilli gave way to Riccardo Saponara and Rashid Sottila was replaced by Alessandro Bianco. Despite a yellow card to Quama and another substitute for Fiorentina, the match came to a close with five goals in favour of the home side. Overall, it was a dominant performance from Fiorentina, who ruthlessly punished the weak play of Sampdoria. This big win will give the team a much-needed boost in their quest to climb up the Serie A standings.
