Former Dynamo defender and Tbilisi mayor from the ruling Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia party Kakha Kalazde commented on the fact that the country was not granted candidate status to the EU.

Georgian authorities are a problem for them, because they do not join sanctions, they do not start war, they do not open "second front" in the country. Our government is ready to do everything for the country to get the status of a candidate. What decision will be made is not up to us. If it is, we will be glad.
