The Premier League match at the King Power Stadium between Leicester and Everton did not disappoint, with both teams showing an interesting and exciting contest. While Leicester led 2-1 in the first half, Everton came back strongly in the second half to finish the match in a 2-2 draw. Everton started the match with a penalty in the 15th minute, awarded by D. Calvert-Lewin, which he converted into a goal. However, Leicester quickly answered with a goal of their own after just 7 minutes thanks to a goal from K. Soyunc. The Foxes continued to go forward and were rewarded with another goal in the 33rd minute from J. Vardy, allowing them to go into the break with a 2-1 lead. The second half started with Everton trying to get back into the game and it took them only 9 minutes to equalise thanks to a goal from A. Iwobi. However, they failed to take the lead as Leicester's defence held firm.
A flurry of yellow cards were awarded to Leicester players B. Sumare, L. Thomas, J. Maddison and W. Christiansen. Christiansen. Everton's I. Gueye was also cautioned. Both teams made substitutions to try and gain an advantage with Everton replacing N. Patterson with S. Coleman in the 45th minute and Leicester replaced P. Dack with V. Ndidi in the 61st minute. However, it was Leicester who made the most changes in the final minutes of the match: D. Praet came on in place of H. Barnes in the 88th minute and L. Thomas was replaced by W. Christiansen in the same minute. Despite a tense and exciting finish, neither team could score a goal and the match ended in a 2-2 draw. All in all, it was a decent result for two teams that played with such intensity and skill, and the spectators at the King Power Stadium enjoyed a fantastic game of football.
