'Shovkovskyi is not a coach who only follows other people's instructions' - journalist

Renowned journalist Serhiy Tyshchenko talks about Oleksandr Shovkovskyi's first two matches in charge of Dynamo.

"In the late autumn of 2016, Dynamo played a friendly against Moldovan side Milsamy during a break in the national teams' matches. The almost empty Dynamo stadium allowed us to hear everything the players were saying to each other. Shovkovskyi was the main voice in the match. He was in charge of defending his own goal. The defenders were given instructions by voice as to who should cover which area, who should play with whom, and so on.

A coach is not much different from a goalkeeper. He gives instructions to the players in the same way, only from the coaching bench. In Poltava, Dynamo's coach was heard the most. The opening two away wins and 5 goals scored confirm that this method of managing the team is paying off.

After two matches against Metalist and Vorskla, I can say that Shovkovskyi is not a coach who just follows other people's instructions, he really understands what the team should play," Serhiy wrote on Facebook.

Серёжа, Вы меня извините, но если Саша говорит что выполняет указания...Можно придумывать. Это удобно. Будем выигрывать по лекалам Мирчи, а проигрывать потому что СаШо.
