Dnipro 1 commercial director Vyacheslav Fridman has said that Liverpool have never made a serious offer for midfielder Yevhen Konoplyanka during his time at Dnipro.
"As I remember the story, Konoplyanka said that there was interest in him and that he wanted to leave. I remember that Igor Valerievich met with both him and his dad, who represented his interests. Igor Valerievich [Kolomoysky] said, "And where do you want to live? In working-class Liverpool or in beautiful, fancy London?". Knowing how Konoplyanka loves the beautiful lifestyle.
Now I won't say 100% whether there was an offer from Liverpool. Maybe some came on the flag, but not one that suited Dnipro. A club that was in the top places. We should respect both the club and our country, Ukraine. There was a time, please prepare a normal offer, we will talk. But this has never happened," Friedman said.
