In the 66th minute, a penalty was awarded against Leicester but Vardy failed to convert it.
Fulham took advantage of the missed opportunity to score their fifth goal of the match just four minutes later, with Willian scoring his second goal of the game. Leicester received another yellow card in the 70th minute of the match when B. Soumare was sent off. The visitors then made three more substitutions in the 76th minute, releasing P. Dak, L. Thomas and C. Dewsbury-Hall in place of Vardy, Christiansen and Sumare respectively. Fulham also made two substitutions in the same minute, releasing S. Duffy in place of I. Diop and H. Reid in place of S. Lukic. The last ten minutes of the match were tightly fought, with Leicester awarded a penalty in the 81st minute, which was duly converted by Maddison. This spurred the team on and they continued the onslaught, eventually scoring their third goal of the match in the 89th minute through Barnes' effort. Despite Leicester's late comeback, Fulham held on for a crucial 5-3 victory, much to the delight of the fans at Craven Cottage Stadium. The match saw some fantastic performances from both teams, with Fulham's front line showing a masterclass in attacking football. Leicester also fought courageously throughout the match, despite the disappointing defeat. Overall, this match was a reminder of why the Premier League is one of the most exciting football leagues in the world, with exciting action from start to finish.
