"Manchester United continues negotiations with the team's main goalkeeper David de Gea, ESPN reports.
According to a source, the Red Devils' bosses are seeking to extend De Gea's contract, but the Spaniard will not be guaranteed a place in the starting line-up. The Mancunians have an option to automatically extend the agreement with their goalkeeper for a year, but the team's management wants to keep De Gea for a longer period, while reducing the player's salary.
We would like to add that David De Gea's current deal with MU runs until this summer. The Spanish goalkeeper has been defending the colours of MU since the summer of 2011.
