Dynamo U-19 midfielder Ilya Skrypnyk, who is currently on loan to Chernivtsi's Bukovyna, recalled his performances in the capital's team.
- You played for Dynamo in the Ukrainian youth championship. Can you remember this period?
- It's impossible to talk about the period that began when I turned 14 in a nutshell. I gained a lot of new knowledge that helps me to prove myself at the professional level now.
- In the 2021/22 season, you played for Kyiv in the UEFA Youth League. Was it the most productive period for your professional growth?
- I believe that the most productive period is still ahead of me. Unfortunately, I didn't get enough playing practice back then, so it's difficult to assess my performances. I should note that now I keep in touch with almost all the players from that team.
- Neshcheret and Vanat are players in Dynamo's first team...
- Yes, Neshcheret has always been distinguished by his efficiency, he took care of his diet, stayed after training, and regularly visited the gym. Therefore, it is quite deserved that he has now been replaced by the main goalkeepers of Kyiv. I am sincerely happy for Vanat, he also deserved to play in the first team with his work, he has a well-developed intuition of a forward, he feels where and at what point to be during the attack and uses it correctly.
Brazhko and Voloshin, who I played with in the youth team, are also playing at a high level now. Voloshin had a good first round in the league at Kryvbas, he is a very fast and sharp player.
I believe that our generation has a good future, it's not for nothing that we have been successful at the international level, beating schools of recognised world grandees.
- Now there is talk of changes on the Dynamo coaching staff. Do you think Ihor Kostiuk could cope with the position of head coach?
- I think it is possible. He knows most of the current Dynamo players well, he has achieved success with these players at national and international levels. He trained us all himself. It would be interesting to see Ihor Volodymyrovych as Dynamo's head coach. I am sure he would do well if he was given full trust.
