Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola explained why he did not make any substitutions in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid (1-1).

"I thought the players who were already on the pitch were fine. Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish can hold onto the ball, and that's what we needed. We had to slow down the pace of the game. If the game had exploded, Real Madrid would have done much better than us," Mundo Deportivo quoted Guardiola as saying.
