"Villarreal has announced on its official website that it has extended the contract with the team's defender Raul Albiol.
The 37-year-old will remain with the Yellow Submarine until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Since his arrival at Villarreal, Albiol has played a total of 155 official matches for the club, captained the historic Europa League win in 2021 and helped the team reach the Champions League semi-finals (2022).
