Tevez: "It was PSG who should have apologised, but Messi puts the club above all else"

Former Manchester United and Argentina striker Carlos Tevez has spoken out about Lionel Messi's situation at PSG.

"If they told me, as a world champion, that I had to apologise for travelling on my day off, I would drop everything and go to Rosario to drink yerba mate. They should apologise to me, but Messi puts the club first. Hats off to him for that.

I don't understand what's going on. PSG has no right to treat a player of Messi's calibre like that. Thanks to him, PSG became known. I played against this club as a member of Manchester United when they were in the middle of the table. It was the same when I joined City," TyC Sports quoted Tevez as saying.

It will be recalled that PSG fans and owners were unhappy with Messi's trip to Saudi Arabia the day after the 1-3 defeat to Lorient.
