The first-round match in Odesa resulted in a 1-1 draw. "The White and Blues opened the scoring, but failed to maintain their minimal lead after the break. Therefore, Ihor Kostiuk's team approached the reporting match with the utmost determination.
From the very first minutes, Dynamo took the initiative and began to launch attack after attack on the opponent's goal. The Macedonian Ramadani, who was playing his second match for the youth team, was active, but his shots lacked accuracy, and Horbach, who missed a lot of time due to a suspension for his sending off in the match against Rukh, also wanted to score.
At the same time, while building their attacks using the full width of the pitch, the White and Blues had to be careful near their own goal, as the opposition was ready to organise a sharp attack at the first opportunity. Ratushniak and Melnyk scored from good positions, but in both cases Ihnatenko played reliably, and in another episode, after Prysyazhnyuk's shot from the penalty area, the ball flew near the post.
Finally, just before the break, the hosts managed to open the scoring. Horbach entered the penalty area from the left flank, passed to Yatsyk, the captain escaped the defender's grasp and shot into the corner in front of the goalkeeper - 1-0.
At the start of the second half, Dynamo, which made three substitutions, continued to put pressure on the Odesa goal. Yatsyk shot from a distance, but the goalkeeper caught the ball, Horbach had a close-range attempt, but the goalkeeper made a spectacular save, parrying a virtually dead ball. Once again, Pirizhko had to demonstrate his skills when the referee awarded a penalty kick to the visitors for playing with the defender's hand in his own penalty area, but Horbach failed to beat the goalkeeper with a shot from the 11-metre mark.
Having failed to double their lead, Dynamo continued to look for opportunities to score more. Once again, Horbach was unlucky to score, as he failed to convert a promising one-on-one with the goalkeeper, while the goalkeeper dealt with the shots of Matkevych and Yatsyk.
The White and Blues were almost punished for their wastefulness in the final minutes. Syzonyuk knocked down an opponent in close proximity to the penalty area, Ursolov struck a powerful shot, but Ihnatenko saved his team, and with it the victory (the fifth in a row in the U19 championship) in the match.
As a result, 1-0 is the minimum success for Ihor Kostiuk's wards, who do not lose hope of winning the championship this season.
