Minaj's head coach Volodymyr Sharan made a statement on the eve of the match of the 26th round of the Ukrainian championship against Dnipro-1.
- "Recently, people have been talking about referees more than football itself. On Monday, we have a tough match against a serious opponent. I want the fans to see and enjoy the football. Honest and objective refereeing. Unfortunately, there will be no VAR system at the match again. It's not good. The media may now recall that Oleksiy Derevinsky worked our game against Oleksandriya when the opponent scored an offside goal. But that was more likely a mistake on the part of the side referee than the head referee. Therefore, it is not worth focusing on this.
I want to talk about something else. For the second time in the last two weeks, our players have received calls from unknown people offering to play unfairly. The calls came before the match against Shakhtar and now before Dnipro-1. They offer the players money for defeat. We understand that these are not representatives of the clubs. Apparently, they are people who make money from betting or something like that. We don't know who they are, but these are the realities of modern football," the press service of the Transcarpathians quoted Sharan as saying.
