Real Sociedad's Oyarzabal and Zubeldia were given yellow cards, as were Girona's Romeu and Martínez. Romeu in particular had a memorable night as he was eventually suspended for a second offence in the 87th minute, leaving his team to play the final few minutes with ten men. In the end, both sides had to settle for one point, but the fans enjoyed an exciting game of football. Real Sociedad showed good play, with Silva and Oyarzabal in particular impressing, while Girona will be pleased with Stuani's performance and his well-taken goal. Overall, it was an entertaining match that showcased the best of La Liga football and will long be remembered by fans of both teams.
