In the long-awaited Premier League encounter at the Arena Lviv stadium, Ingulets faced Shakhtar Donetsk. Both teams were aiming for a win, but it was Shakhtar Donetsk who got a 0-2 win over their formidable opponents. In the first half both teams put up a fierce fight. Despite the fact that Ingulets created a few chances, they failed to convert them into goals, with the scoreline at half-time being 0-0. But everything changed in the second half: 51 minutes into the match, Shakhtar Donetsk took the lead thanks to a goal from Yuriy Konoply. In the 60th minute, Shakhtar made a number of key substitutions: K Kelsey replaced D. Sican and Y. Konoplya was replaced by G. Gocholeishvili. These moves paid off when Shakhtar Donetsk doubled their lead in the 85th minute thanks to a goal from Vitaliy Pavlov.
Ingulets also made a number of substitutions: on 46 minutes, Oleksandr Osipenko was replaced by M. Melnychuk, while on 68 minutes, A. Sitalo and I. Golovkin were replaced by M. Marusych and O. Kozak respectively. On 81st minute, V. Sidorenko came on instead of O. Bilyk, and on 86th minute Y. Kozyrenko replaced D. Kravchuk. The match took a dramatic turn in the 78th minute, when O. Palamarchuk was red carded, leaving his team with ten men. As the match drew to a close, Shakhtar Donetsk player A. Bondarenko got a yellow card in the 90th minute. As a result, Shakhtar Donetsk emerged a deserved winner, dominating in the second half. Thanks to this win, they strengthened their position in the Premier League and will be looking to build on this success in the next game.
