The Premier League match between Arsenal and Brighton was played at the Emirates Stadium, with both teams battling for victory. Gabriel Martinelli, Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey played for Arsenal, while Brighton had Jorginho, Pascal Gross and Davy Welbeck in the starting line-up. In the first half, both teams tried to break forward but no one could beat the opposing goalkeeper. In the 20th minute, Arsenal introduced L. Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli, hoping to add freshness to the attack. However, the score remained 0-0 at the break. Brighton started the second half brightly and took the lead on 51 minutes thanks to a goal from H. Enciso. Pascal Gross was yellow carded and Arsenal brought on Georginho and R. Nelson in the 60th minute hoping to turn the tide. However, Brighton made their own substitution with D. Welbeck in place of B. Gilmour.
Despite Arsenal's efforts, Brighton's defence held firm and they managed to keep their lead. In the 77th minute, Arsenal made two more substitutions: E. Smith-Rowe and E. Nketia came on in place of M. Odegaard and Gabriel Jesus. Brighton also made two substitutions: F. Buonanotte and D. Undav came on instead of E. Ferguson and J. Ensiso. In the 86th minute, Brighton's D Undav scored, securing the win for his team. Thomas Partey received a yellow card for Arsenal in the 88th minute. And just before the final whistle, P. Estupignan scored another goal for Brighton, ending the game 0-3. Overall, it was a tactical battle between the two teams and Brighton came out victorious after some clinical completions in the second half. It was a disappointing result for Arsenal, who must improve if they hope to move up the Premier League table.
