Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri spoke about his decision to start Paul Pogba in the team's starting line-up in the match of the 35th round of the Italian championship against Cremona (2-0).
"After the match against Sevilla, I wanted to test Pogba from the first minute. We needed technical players in a match where we were going to play in the opponent's half of the pitch. We are all upset because he was feeling pretty good. He has made a lot of sacrifices and now he will have to go back to the sidelines again because of his quadriceps injury.
Paul is a grown man, he has three children and broad shoulders to overcome this muscle injury. When you come into the game from the start after a long absence, you increase the risk. We will be waiting for him," Allegri was quoted as saying by Football Italia.
It will be recalled that Pogba made his first appearance for Juventus after his return to Turin. In the 22nd minute of the match, the midfielder made a pass to the opponent's penalty area, after which he felt uncomfortable and sat down on the lawn. The Frenchman left the field in tears.
