The Premier League match between Shakhtar Donetsk and Veres Rovno took place at the Avangard Stadium. At the beginning of the match, both teams put in their best efforts. Shakhtar Donetsk took the lead on 35 minutes thanks to a goal scored by Oleg Zubkov. Veres Rovno got two yellow cards: S. Vovchenko was sent off in the 38th minute and V. Kurko got a yellow card in the 46th minute. Shakhtar Donetsk had a chance to extend their lead when a penalty kick was awarded in the 47th minute. However, D. Sikan missed the spot-kick, to the disappointment of the home side. In the 60th minute, Veres received another yellow card - it was given to O. Matkobozhyk. Shakhtar Donetsk made their first substitution on 65 minutes, when Dmytro Topalov was replaced with Dmytro Kryskev. Kryskev. Veres Rovno made one more substitution in the 69th minute, when M. Shestakov came on instead of M. Haiduchik. In the 74th minute, Veres Rovno managed to level the score. Donets'k Shakhtar responded quickly, with M. Matvienko netting the equaliser 10 minutes from time. Veres Rovno made one last substitution in the 84th minute when G. Pasic was replaced by V. Dakhnovskyy. Shakhtar Donetsk made two late substitutions in the 87th minute: Yuriy Rakitskiy replaced B. Mykhailychenko and G. Sudakov came on in place of A. Totovitskiy. Mikhailichenko was given a yellow card in the 90th minute. The match ended 2-1 in favour of Shakhtar Donetsk. Despite the best efforts of Veresa Rivne, they failed to level the score for a second time. Shakhtar Donetsk left the stadium happy, while Veres Rovno was left pondering what could have been. It was an exciting match for both teams, and the sports fans got a chance to see a demonstration of skill and determination.
