In a tense match between Nottingham Forest and Arsenal at the City Ground, the home side defeated their opponents 1-0. The match was played in the Premier League and it was a game that showcased fantastic football from both sides. Nottingham Forest scored the only goal of the match in the 19th minute when T. Avonius gave them the lead with a lucky strike. Throughout the first half, Nottingham Forest created several chances to increase their lead, but failed to capitalise on any of them. At the start of the second half, Arsenal came onto the pitch with renewed vigour and began to dominate possession. However, they were unable to convert their possession into goals as Nottingham Forest's defence stubbornly repelled their attacks. In the 63rd minute, Arsenal made two substitutions, releasing J. Kiwior and G. Hack in place of K. Tierney and E. Nketiah respectively.
However, these substitutions did not have the desired effect as Nottingham Forest continued to keep the visitors at bay. Nottingham Forest made their first substitution of the game in the 73rd minute when Danilo was replaced by K Kouyate. The hosts continued to fight hard and in the 79th minute they made two substitutions, replacing B. Johnson and Felipe with T. Avoniyi and V. Boly respectively. As the match entered the final minutes, tensions mounted and the referee was forced to show yellow cards to Gabriel and M. Gibbs-White in the 78th and 79th minutes respectively. Nottingham Forest made the last substitution of the match in the 90th minute when K. Navas came on in place of W. Hennessey. As a result, Nottingham Forest's defence stood firm and Arsenal won 1-0. The match showed fantastic football from both sides and the home side will no doubt be delighted with the three points they earned. All in all, it was a great match that delighted all football fans.
