Jovicevic's performance failed to impress Akhmetov - Shakhtar may be led by van Leeuwen

Zorya head coach Patrick van Leeuwen could take charge of Shakhtar in the summer. This is reported by TaToTake.

The 53-year-old Dutchman's appointment as the coach of the Donetsk team is viewed very highly. It is noted that Igor Jovicevic's work has not impressed club president Rinat Akhmetov. The Shakhtar owner doesn't like the team's style of play under Jovicevic or the team's margin of safety. Instead, he likes Van Leeuwen's work at Zorya.

It is claimed that Akhmetov has almost made a decision in this regard. Van Leeuwen worked as the head of Shakhtar's youth department between 2006 and 2013.

Valeriy Kryventsov, who previously worked at Metalist 1925, could become Zorya's new head coach. This option is quite realistic, because the 49-year-old Ukrainian communicates and works with ProStar, which has influence on the Luhansk club. His candidacy is endorsed by the team's director Igor Guz.
