Valencia's aggression became clear in the 57th minute when J. Kluivert received a yellow card. In the 58th minute, the Valencia manager made two substitutions: D. Lopez was replaced by D. Fulquier and E. Cavani was replaced by S. Lino. However, Real Madrid responded with two substitutions of their own: M. Asensio replaced L. Modrić and D. Ceballos replaced T. Kroos.
Valencia made a third substitution in the 68th minute when T Correia replaced T. Lato. The situation escalated in the 70th minute when E. Comert received a yellow card for Valencia. Rodrigo received a yellow card in the 86th minute and was replaced by F. Mendi. Around the same time, Real Madrid made two more substitutions: A. Chouameni was replaced by F. Valverde and D. Carvajal replaced F. Mendy. The final few minutes of the match were hectic, with Valencia making two final substitutions. J. Douro replaced J. Kluivert and J. Gaia replaced I. Musa. In the final minutes of the match, Valencia's I. Musa and G. Mamardashvili received yellow cards. In added time, Real Madrid's Vinicius Júnior was given a red card. In the end, Valencia held on to win 1-0, much to the delight of their fans. Real Madrid, on the other hand, will have to regroup and decide how to improve their performance in the coming matches.
