Manchester City's management is working on extending the contract of the team's captain Ilkay Gundogan, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano said on Twitter.
The German midfielder has been offered to stay at the Etihad until June 2025. The contract can be signed on a 1+1 basis. Barcelona are also interested in the services of the 32-year-old.
This season, Gundogan has played 48 matches for the Citizens in all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing seven assists.
