The start of the match was delayed by 40 minutes due to air-raid in Kyiv region. Having returned to the field, the teams were in no hurry to take the pace. And from a tournament point of view, to be frank, the encounter, was of no importance.
Nevertheless, the game got off to a very interesting start, or rather a curious one. As early as on 9 minutes, Dynamo managed to open the scoring: following high pressing from Parris, Kolos goalkeeper Volynets, trying to clear the ball, accidentally sent it into his net off the bar -0-1. That goal was probably the most curious one this season. The rest of the game was quite predictable - the Dynamo side continued to control the game, rarely allowing their opponents to dash out on counterattacks. By the way, the Bilo-Syni goalkeeper Georgiy Buschan, who returned to the frame after an injury, first came on in the game only on 25 minutes. But Kolos created a really scoring moment towards the end of the first half: after a cross from the right flank, Myakushko shot low, but our goalkeeper played safely.
Oleksandr Shovkovskiy's charges could have scored a brace before the break if they had saved two chances within two minutes. First, Buialskiy shot inaccurately near the far post following a corner-kick, and in the next attacking move Vitaliy sent the ball over the top of the net from the goal-line, trying to be the first to score.
The second half also began with Dynamo's attacks. Ramires, who substituted the disqualified Vanat, was trying, but the Venezuelan had no luck. "Kolos tried to reply at least once, but the hosts lacked constructiveness in positional attacks. It seemed that the match would end with a minimal victory for Kyiv, but the Bilo-Syni managed to score twice more! Andrievskiy, having received a pass from Parris in the middle of the net, decided to take a long-range shot from twenty meters - the ball flew straight into the top corner! 0:2!
Separately, we should note the return of Shaparenko after a long injury absence. Midfielder, who had missed most of the season, replaced Andriyevskyi on 70 minutes and looked very motivated. What's more, Mykola managed to get an assist.
Kholos had the only chance to reduce the deficit towards the end of the game: Bogdanov went one-on-one with Bhushchan, but our goalkeeper put the ball away in a corner.
Voloshyn put the final point in the match. After a cross from Shaparenko from the left flank, Nazariy managed to hit the ball into the net from the goalmouth line -0-3! Dynamo got a deserved and confident win!
It must be recalled Dynamo will play their next match in UPL next Monday, May 29, in Rivne. Oleksandr Shovkovskiy's team will face Veres. The kickoff time is 15:00.
