In the much-anticipated La Liga match between Osasuna and Athletic at the El Sadar Stadium, both teams battled it out on the pitch for victory. There were no goals in the first half, but both teams made several attempts to score. In the 15th minute, Athletic's O. de Marcos got a yellow card, while in the 31st minute Osasuna's L. Torro was also given a yellow card. At the start of the second half, it became clear that both teams were determined to take the lead. In the 50th minute, A. Budimir of Osasuna scored the first goal of the match, much to the delight of the home crowd. Athletic Club responded with two substitutions in the 57th minute, releasing N. Williams and O. Zarraga in place of G. Guruzzeta and O. Sunset. In the 66th minute, Osasuna's A. Budimir was given a yellow card, but it did not dampen the home side's spirit. In the 69th minute, Osasuna made their first substitution, replacing C. Barju in place of R. Garcia.
Club Athletic were quickly awarded two yellow cards: A. Berenguer received one in the 74th minute and D. Vivian in the 76th. In the 77th minute, Osasuna player L. Torro scored an impressive goal, giving his team a two goal lead. It was a tough blow for the Athletic club, but they kept fighting and made another substitution in the 79th minute, replacing I. Williams with M. A. Ares Jalo. Osasuna responded with two substitutions of their own, with A. Budimir replacing C. Garcia and J. Moncayola coming on in place of P. Ibañez. Athletic Club made two final substitutions in the 81st minute, replacing A. Paredes with I. Lecue, while Osasuna's P. Ibañez received a yellow card in the 84th minute. In the final minutes of the match, Osasuna made two more substitutions: Abde came on in place of D. Moreno and A. Oros replaced I. Munoz. The match ended 2-0 in favour of Osasuna, a much-needed victory for the home side. Despite some difficult moments for both sides, it was Osasuna who emerged victorious from this thrilling La Liga encounter.
