Ukrainian midfielder of Marseille Ruslan Malinovskyy gave his assessment of his game in the second half of the season.
"When I came to Marseille(in January of this year - ed.) I realized at once that the game of this team has a set of tactical elements to which I will need to adapt. In addition, it was not in the best way that in the last six months at Atalanta I had not enough game practice. Therefore, I had a certain lack of rhythm and did not connect well with the other players. Besides, maybe I was rushing things, and that too had an impact.
In short, I can play better, that's for sure. I think I can play better in this team next season after doing the full training with Marseille. I strive for it, I strive to play consistently. Because this is what every quality football player should have. You can't play one game well and then two games poorly: you must show a consistently good level in 8-9 games out of 10," France 24 quoted Malinovskiy as saying.
It must be recalled, Malinovskyi joined Marseille from the Italian Atalanta in early January this year. Since then, the Ukrainian midfielder spent 21 matches for the French club in all competitions, and in 15 cases he appeared on the field in the starting lineup. Malinovskyi has two goals and one assist, while he has four yellow cards to his credit.
