The poll for the title of the best player was attended by the captains of 20 EPL clubs and a group of football experts. Erling Holland was ahead of Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), Harry Kane (Tottenham), Martin Edegor (Arsenal), Bukayo Saku (Arsenal), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United) and Kieran Trippier (Newcastle) in the competition for the award.

This season, Erling Holland has scored 36 goals in the English Championship. Taking into account all competitions, the 22-year-old Norwegian has scored 52 goals for City this season - only Everton's Dixie Dean had more goals in the 1927/28 season (63).

It should be added that this award is the fourth in a row for Manchester City players. In 2019/20 and 2021/22, it was won by Kevin De Bruyne, and in 2020/21 by Ruben Dias.
