The renowned manager and expert Vyacheslav Zakhovaylo has summed up the results of the season that is coming to an end for Dynamo Kyiv.
"One of the worst seasons for Dynamo is coming to an end. It is hard to believe that Zorya will lose their lead in the last two rounds and allow the Kyivians to become third.
In my opinion, things are really bad for Dynamo when you look at the big picture of the season. The hope is for the growing young generation, but it will cost the team big reputational losses both in Europe, and in the UPL. We need drastic changes to take the club out of its "steep peak".
What will help? Investments, which we do not have, because there is a war in Ukraine, it is difficult to invite the quality players here, large injections of funds from sponsors.
We wish Kyiv Dynamo supporters to be patient - there is a difficult time ahead. At present, the Bilo-Syni have a pleiad of players aged over 30: Buyalskyi, Garmash, Sidorchuk, Karavaev. Yes, you can still ride on their experience for some time, but it is not the solution of any strategic objectives for the future.
As for Dynamo's young players, when they are not pressed by the result and serious responsibility, they feel very confident, which we saw in recent Dynamo matches, where they won convincingly. Yet, as soon as we notice the pressure of responsibility, things go sideways, lack of experience and lack of concentration. "Dynamo" as a whole has been on an "anchor" this season, to sum it up.
The Kyivians vs Veres should play as freely as they did in the previous match vs Kolos. I expect them to win with a handicap (-1.5)", Zakhovailo said.
