Renowned Ukrainian journalist Artem Frankov has shared his prediction for the central match of the 29th round of the Ukrainian championship between Shakhtar Donetsk and Dnipro 1 to be held today in Lviv.
"Just now, a wonderful intrigue at the end of the Ukrainian championship with loud scandal and disappointment has turned into something petty and smelly - about like Cinderella's carriage back into a rotten pumpkin with a cry of "Don't believe your eyes!".
"Shakhtar took out Zorya 3-0 at one gate, and it's fortunate that the latter didn't finish in nine, otherwise they could have swallowed more; Dnipro 1 unexpectedly lost to a motivated Vorskla, and the officiating of this game left a lot of questions. Another matter is that in the eyes of our football community Dnipro did not look like an innocent victim - more like a hostage in the "piggyback situation".
Well, the face-to-face encounter is designed to set some current highlights, and lay the foundation for the principled confrontation in the future (the more so since the war, to our great regret and moan, is not over yet, and therefore our football will continue to be reflected in the wrong mirror). Dnipro 1 won in the first round, although this, of course, is no indicator - it happened a long time ago and a lot of water has run out since then.
My bet: Shakhtar win with more than two goals in the match. I'd also like a bet on some sort of showdown along the way...," Frankov said.
