With a 1-0 win over Werder, Union Berlin secured the final fourth place and qualified for the Champions League. Freiburg and Bayer will represent Germany in the Europa League and the Conference League respectively.

Eintracht, who beat Leipzig in the German Cup final, would be entitled to a UEFA Europa League exit. However, even if they lose, Frankfurt Frankfurt CF can still play in the European competitions next season: seventh place in the Bundesliga guarantees participation in the Conference League qualifying.
