Atletico Madrid faced Real Sociedad at the Stadio Civitas Metropolitano in a much-anticipated La Liga match. The game was full of action from the start, with Real Sociedad receiving a yellow card in the 27th minute for a foul on the pitch by M. Merino. Atletico Madrid quickly took the lead in the 37th minute with a stunning goal from A. Griezmann, to the delight of his fans. However, Real Sociedad did not let up and continued to put pressure on the home side. The second half kicked off with a yellow card for Real Sociedad's A. Elustondo in the 54th minute. In the 59th minute, Real Sociedad made two quick substitutions: M. Merino and A. Elustondo left the pitch and their place was taken by B. M. Merino and A. Elustondo left the pitch and were replaced by B. Méndez and A. Gorozabel. In the 59th minute, Atletico Madrid player R. de Paul received a yellow card, which did not stop them from trying to increase their lead. Kubo replaced K. Fernandez. The game finally came to life in the 73rd minute when Atlético de Madrid extended their lead thanks to a goal by Molina. However, Real Sociedad kept pushing forward. In the 81st minute, Atlético Madrid made a second substitution: R. de Paul was replaced by P. Barrios. In a final onslaught, Real Sociedad managed to score a late goal in the 88th minute through the efforts of A. Sorlott. However, it was not enough to salvage a draw and Atletico Madrid won the match 2-1. Overall, it was a tough win for Atletico Madrid and they will be pleased with the result. Real Sociedad, on the other hand, will be disappointed that they could not take their chances and score points.
