Ruslan Rotan: "Structure is not all football"

Ruslan Rotan, the head coach of Oleksandriia, talks about their defeat at the hands of Luhansk's Zorya (0-2) in yesterday's match on matchday 29 of the Ukrainian championship. Following this result, Oleksandriya risk losing the fifth place they currently occupy, and with it the ticket to the European Cup.

"To start the match 0-2 is the worst thing you can think of in football (Oleksandriya had been losing 0-2 already by the 24th minute of the match - editor's note), but it happens. The result must be accepted and the mistakes must be analyzed. We had our last match against Rukh in Lviv. Only a win will satisfy us in this game.

As for the game itself, I want to say that structure and ball control are not the whole of football. The same level of tackling, tackling, as well as one hundred percent motivation and attitude to their business. If we looked good in structure and ball control today, we lost in tackling and rebounding," said Rotan after the match against Zorya.
