The 37th round of the Spanish championship took place between 27 May and 28 May. Here are the results.
In the last round of La Liga football matches there were very close encounters between the leading teams of the Spanish league. Atletico Madrid defeated Real Sociedad 2-1, while Barcelona continued their dominance with a comfortable 3-0 win over Mallorca.
Getafe defeated Osasuna 2-1 in a hard-fought encounter, while Athletic Club and Elche played a tense encounter in which Elche won 1-0. In other matches, Cadiz took valuable three points with a 1-0 win over Celta Vigo and Rayo Vallecano defeated Villarreal 2-1. Although Almeria and Valladolid failed to settle with a 0-0 draw, it was still an exciting match. Finally, Valencia salvaged a 2-2 draw with Espanyol. All in all, it was another great weekend of football in Spain's top flight.
