Sports lawyer Igor Skoropashkin has given his assessment of the mass scuffle between the players of Shakhtar Donetsk and Dnipro-1 at the end of yesterday's match between these teams in the 29th round of the Ukrainian championship.

"In general, the behaviour of many of the participants in such fights qualifies as hooliganism (i.e. a gross disrespect for public order, accompanied by particular insolence or exceptional cynicism) committed by a group (part 2 of article 296 of the Criminal Code).
It is clear that there will only be football sanctions here. No one will prosecute them because no one will initiate a criminal case," Skoropashkin said.
