Commentator Igor Tsyganik expressed his opinion on the fight that took place at the end of the 29th round of the Ukrainian championship match between Shakhtar and Dnipro-1 on the Tsyganik LIVE programme.
"It's a shame, in fact, it's a huge shame! I was so disgusted to watch it... We are at war in our country. Isn't there somewhere to fight? We have a place to defend our principles. I was very ashamed of every player. Some of us don't know how to lose, and others don't know how to win. Where is this respect? Where is the respect for each other? When will you learn to respect the work that your colleagues do?
Jumping from two feet in the 90th minute, from behind, with the score 3-0 in the championship match is the biggest shit that can happen in football. But what happened next is beyond belief. I don't want to guess who provoked whom. Just respect each other! You are doing the same job. There are people there to protect you so you can play football. But go out and hug each other after the game, congratulate each other, shake hands. What are you doing to the whole country? And this applies to everyone.
Even if Shakhtar had lost to Dnipro-1 but then won against Vorskla, they would have become the champions and I would have congratulated them. There are certain rules. What's the point of this cheating? Have you got the hang of it? How can it occur to a person in the 90th minute to jump in this rolling move with both feet? I just wonder why? You are already champions. You were beaten in a football way, why did you jump? I would have punished each of the players involved in this fight, and each of them would have been suspended for six months," Tsyganik said.
