Manchester United head coach Eric ten Hag has spoken about the goalkeeper's position for next season.
"Yes, De Gea will remain in the team. However, I cannot guarantee that he will be the first choice. At a club like Manchester United, there has to be competition in all positions. You cannot use only eleven players. It's impossible. You need a few players for each position," the Manchester Evening News quoted ten Hag as saying.
It should be noted that David de Gea was named the best goalkeeper of the 2022/23 season in the Premier League, having made zero saves in seventeen matches.
