Shakhtar CEO Serhiy Palkin spoke about the rivalry with Dynamo in the Ukrainian championship.
"Before Rinat Akhmetov took over the club, Dynamo were total hegemons. Back then, to think that you would become a champion with that Dynamo in your rivals would have been simply abnormal. When Dynamo began to understand that we are becoming a serious force - that's when the serious fight began.
Though now Dynamo are not in the top three of the UPL, but still the game with them is still a very serious event for us. Even if it is just a friendly game, we will fight to the end. It is already in the back of our minds.
Today we communicate well with each other off the field. We have normal relations with the general director and the president of Dynamo. We phone by phone on some key football issues. We have a normal contact. Moreover, we have normal contact with all the clubs. We really meet, exchange views, make some plans, try to create something.
