Bayern Munich striker Sadio Mane may return to Liverpool a year after his departure from the Merseyside club, the Liverpool Echo reports.
According to the source, the Senegalese failed to become Bayern's leading player last season. During the season, Mane had a conflict with Leroy Sane, which resulted in the Senegalese being fined a substantial sum. After that conflict, Mane's role in Thomas Tuchel's team became quite episodic. Thus, the club will consider offers for Mane's transfer.
And although the idea of Mane's return may seem attractive to Liverpool fans, Reds head coach Jurgen Klopp has long since planned for a future without Sadio, having signed Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo.
Sadio Mane defended Liverpool's colours from 2016 to 2022.
