UEFA may replace the head referee of the Champions League final, Szymon Marciniak, according to Sky Sport.
According to the source, the reason for this possible decision is the fact that the 42-year-old referee took part in an event organised by Polish far-right politician and head of the New Hope party, Slawomir Mencen.
UEFA have reportedly already asked Marciniak for an explanation. The decision on whether he will stay on as head referee of the Champions League final will be made in the course of today.
The Champions League final will take place on 10 June in Istanbul. Manchester City and Inter will play in the decisive match of the tournament.
