The match between Torino and Inter was tightly fought for all 90 minutes. The game took place at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino and the visitors from Milan won 1-0. The first half was tightly fought, with both teams creating chances but failing to convert them. However, in the 37th minute, Inter snatched victory when Marcelo Brozovic shot past the Torino goalkeeper to make the score 1-0 in favour of his team. More substitutions were made in the second half as both teams struggled to find a way back into the game. Inter's Hakan Calhanoglu received a yellow card in the 50th minute and was replaced five minutes later by Nicolo Barella. Torino also made two substitutions in the 57th minute when Merhim Vojvoda and Ricardo Rodriguez made way for Ola Aina and Yann Karamoha. Inter continued to possess the ball and looked dangerous on the break. However, they failed to increase their lead and Torino continued to go forward in search of an even scoreline.
The Granata received a yellow card in the 58th minute when Wilfried Singo was penalised for a foul. Inter made two more substitutions in the 65th and 66th minutes when Samir Handanovic and Alessandro Bastoni were replaced by Andrea Cordaza and Francesco Acerbi respectively. Torino, meanwhile, released Karol Linetti in place of Sasa Lukic in the 69th minute. Inter made one last substitution in the 74th minute when Robin Gosens was replaced by Riccardo Bellanova. In the 75th minute, Torino received a yellow card for a foul on an Inter player. Torino made two more substitutions in the final 10 minutes when Wilfried Singo and Ivan Ilic came on in place of Daniele Secca and Pietro Pellegrino respectively. However, neither team could add to the scoreline and Inter held on for a 1-0 win. Overall, it was a tough win for Inter, who looked reliable at the back and dangerous up front. Torino, on the other hand, will be disappointed not to take their chances and will continue to search for their first win of the season.
