Paris Saint-Germain faced Clermont Foot in a thrilling Ligue 1 match at the Parc de Prince. Both teams started the match strongly and the game was played at a high tempo. The first significant event of the match came in the 5th minute when Clermont Foote scored, but it was cancelled out due to a handball by G. Chiea. Paris Saint-Germain responded powerfully and in the 16th minute S. Ramos put the hosts ahead by scoring a goal.
PSG had their chance and in the 21st minute, K. Mbappe earned a penalty for his team, which unfortunately was not converted. Clermont Foot's persistence paid off in the 24th minute when J. Gastien scored the first goal of the match. However, PSG's lead didn't last long: on 45 minutes, Clermont Foote's M. Zeffane netted the winning goal to make the score 2-2 at half-time. At the start of the second half, Clermont Foote replaced M. Zeffane with J. Allevin and PSG replaced J. Ekitike with K. Soler. PSG also made a second substitution with Vitinho replacing R. Sanchez in the 58th minute. In the 63rd minute, Clermont Foot's G. Chiei scored the decisive goal. The home team could not reply and Clermont Foot continued to push for more goals. In the 69th minute, Clermont Foot made their third substitution: M. Gonalons replaced I. Magnin and Mohammed Cham replaced S. Howie. As time went on, PSG stepped up their efforts to equalise. In the 80th minute they made two final substitutions, replacing G. Donnarumma with A. Letelier and E. Bitsiaba for Marquinhos. However, Clermont Foote had the final word. In the 84th minute they replaced G. Chiai with K. Andric and, in the 89th minute, Neto Borges replaced F. Ogier. The match ended 3-2 in favour of Clermont Foot. However, the game was not without incident: in the 76th minute, PSG's D. Pereira got a yellow card, while in the 90th minute, Clermont Foote's M. Weteska got one. In conclusion, it was a fantastic match with a lot of action and drama that was not decided until the very end. Both teams gave it their all, but in the end Clermont Foote came out on top. PSG will be disappointed with the result, but will undoubtedly come back stronger in future matches.
