Head coach of Dnipro-1 Oleksandr Kucher commented on his team's 1-0 victory over Kryvbas in the final 30th round of the Ukrainian league, which qualified his side for next season's Champions League.
"The most important thing is that all year long we have been striving to play, win and achieve a positive result. This is what we have done this year, and most importantly, we have created intrigue in the championship. People have started to respect us, and it was evident in the last few matches that the opponents are already starting to be afraid of the guys and their game.
Of course, we only needed a win in today's match, which we got. This is a historic event for the club, for all the boys, for their families and the fans who have supported us all year. I want to thank everyone for all that we have done together.
If we were the first, it would be better (smiles). But, to be honest, second place is also a great event. I'm not going to be disingenuous here. Once again, I want to congratulate everyone on our victory - the staff, the staff, the club management. This victory was very important," Kucher said.
